Research Interest:

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the foremost cause of death among individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), stemming from a complex web of hyperglycemia, insulin resistance, inflammation, and vascular dysfunction. Cardiovascular Diabetology emerges as a vital field bridging endocrinology and cardiology to offer holistic solutions for prevention and management. This presentation explores shared pathophysiological mechanisms and synthesizes the latest international guidelines—ADA, ESC, and EASD—regarding risk assessment, early intervention, and therapeutic use of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists. Emphasis is placed on integrated, primary care-driven models to reduce cardiovascular risk and mortality among diabetic patients.
